The Sand

Lay your body upon the sand

And close your eyes to horizons wide.

Feel the wind blow through your toes

And let your soul float with the tide.

Drift to sleep in peaceful mode,

And take the sun’s warm embrace.

Let it seep through your bones,

And feel its glow upon your face.

Listen to the rushing surf

As it comes crashing upon the sand,

Together with the whistling wind

They play the tune of a marching band.

Look within your aching heart

And cast your burdens to the sea.

Like the seagulls taking flight,

Your body fills with energy.

Do not move, do not disturb;

Motionless, stay for a while.

And when your body feels the surge,

Show your pleasure with a smile.
